We have had many experiences of performing EMI test when departure and in motion at Seoul, Daegu and Pusan in Korea as well as local EMI test for the railcar, supplied by Rotem, at New Delhi, India in 2002. Also, we¡¯re an accredited test laboratory in the area of EMC testing for the vehicle components by MOCIE (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy) of ATS (Agency for Technology and Standards) at August, 2006.

Based on the experience in EMC testing area, KEL provides the service for the marine electric equipments. The Resolution adopted by the IMO (International Maritime Organization) is a basis of the IEC standards on the communication navigation equipment. The relevant IEC standards are as follows :
- IEC 60945:2002, IEC 60533:1999
- EN 60945:2002
* Summary of IEC60945:2002
It should be able to operate continuously in any situation regardless of sea environment, voyage, vibration, temperature, humidity etc.
The equipments are classified as follows :
a) Portable
b) Protected
c) Exposed
d) Submerged
The example for the category is described in Annex D of the standard. |
