Certified equipment must be labeled with the certification mark, certification number and other information as following figure and all required marking must be in Korean language.

In case of making a label only with Certification No. and MIC Mark on the product, the other items should be displayed on the user manual or package cartoon.


  1. The size of the label can be flexibly adjusted to a certain ratio in relation to the size of the certified equipment.
  2. The certification label has to be affixed appropriately as a molding, sticker or silk-screen etc. taking into account the material of the equipment and the labels have to be attached to each equipment where they are readily visible. In case the product is of small size such as a modular type connector, making labeling difficult, the certification year and registration number of the certification number may only be marked.
  3. For EMC Registration, place an (A) for commercial use, and (B) is for home use, at the end of certification number.
  4. Equipment name (model name) : Items of equipment name should be used general name referred to listed at "Equipment code". Model name should be marked in the parenthesis. For example, sound card(AAA-01), telephone(BBB-01), personal portable communication device(PCS-01).


  1. Certification label must be permanently affixed to the equipment in the place to be seen easily. In case of equipment like telephone of that weight is light and that is not fixed or building-in, it can be on the bottom. But for equipment that is heavy, fixed or building-in type, the label should be seen after installed.
  2. In case of equipment which is consists of systems, certification label should be affixed for all the component related with technical standard.

    Examples for PABX or Key telephone system, that is like in the following.

    - Devices that needs certification label : Devices related with call/network control, main unit used in PSTN or leased line, exclusive telephone, DSS consol, line repeater, connection device between systems, attendant consol, universal consol, etc.

    - Device that doesn't need certification mark : Devices can not be directly connected to network and is not related with technical standard .
    For example, door-phone, UPS, access charge management device, typewriter, billing devices etc.

  3. In case that equipment hasn't enclosure in itself like card modem, certification label should be indicated at suitable place of equipment itself.
